Can we use other agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain, Strands) instead of Google ADK?

Hey everyone, quick question — the rules mention that we need to use Google Cloud AI tools (Vertex, Gemini, etc.), but they don’t specifically say we must use the Agent Development Kit (ADK).

ADK seems a bit rigid and still under development, so can we instead use other open-source agent frameworks like LangChain, Strands, or CrewAI, while still running the AI models and infrastructure on Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery, etc.)?

Basically — is the restriction only about cloud platform usage or also about framework choice?

    From the Google team -- you just need to make sure you're using a Google Cloud AI tool
